What it is: An abnormal closure and inflammation of the respiratory passages, produces asthma. This is a disease that affects millions of Americans. An asthmatic attack is one in which the patient experiences abnormal narrowing of the airways along with tightening of certain muscles. As a result, the delivery of oxygen to the lungs becomes compromised. Many patients are destined to live their whole lives with aggressive medications in order to control this disease. Technique: Stem cells will be extracted from your fat or bone marrow. We will use approximately half a cup to one cup of fat or marrow blood in order to get the required amount of stem cells.
